Have you ever wondered whether there is a meal that could be qualified as the healthiest in the world? In this case, I will tell you that the answer is easier than you may think.
Taking into account that our physical body consists mainly of water (about 80%), then it is quite logical to deduce that the healthiest "meal" we can have is clean, mineral water!
For those that may disagree on that, I will try to prove it: Just consider how much time could we remain alive without crunching anything between our teeth? (i.e. without eating something solid). Possibly a couple of weeks or even one or two months for those who are very strong… Now, how much time could we stay alive without drinking a single drop of water? A week?…
It is also possible that some claim not having drunk a sole drop of water during weeks or even months. But if we analyze their words, we will see that they are not totally right. Actually, water is included in the food we eat, and we find it not only in fruits and vegetables but also in meat, grain and so on. So, we "eat" an important amount of water each day even if we are not aware of it.
The greatest recommendation about drinking water is what many experts on nutrition say: we ought to drink, at least, two liters of pure, good balanced water every day. This is so, because water restores and refreshes all the cells of our physical body.
There is another tip that we should bear in mind concerning drinking water: It is advisable to drink water away from meals. The best is one or two hours before and after the meals. That is because an important amount of water can cause our digestion to be heavy and difficult.
For some people it can be difficult to drink several glasses of plain water when they are not particularly thirsty. We can use a trick in this case: sometimes we say that we are hungry (even if we had a good meal two hours earlier); that is the right instant to drink our half-liter water. Probably, after doing this, we will realize that we are not "hungry" anymore.
Moreover, the good habit of drinking several liters of pure water every day may also have a positive effect on our efforts to lose superfluous weight. Many people use to pick up some biscuits or sweets between meals. If we change this bad habitude and drink around two or three glasses of mineral water instead, we will do a good thing that will restore all the cells in our body and, simultaneously, we will not overcharge our stomach with (usually) superfluous dainties.
To summarize, drinking as much mineral water as we can, will help us to maintain our body fit and active as we need it to be. In addition, drinking much water can help us to lose excessive weight… in some cases at any rate.
